versatile strength for life and longevity

Steel Mace + Yoga + Kettlebells

Ani Weinstein steel mace teacher

Steel Mace

Mace training originated in 13th century Persia, a conditioning method for warriors. The mace’s counterbalancing and ballistic movements improve core strength, endurance, coordination, balance, and resilience against injury.

Ani Weinstein Kettlebell Training

Kettlebells

Endurance strength training that optimizes functional movement patterns and increases cardio-respiratory capacity. I design training programs specific to each client to ensure safe and effective progression.

Ani Weinstein yoga teacher

Yoga

Yoga can be designed to benefit all body types and skill levels. My flowing yoga sessions center the breath. Observing and training our breathing patterns allows us to reduce stress and increase stability.

Ani Weinstein Movement Educator

Movement Education

I specialize in teaching the “why” and “how” behind the movement. Through self-knowledge and technical training we can release patterns of tension and compensation in our body and shift postural habits that limit strength and mobility.

  • “I have worked with Ani on a weekly basis for over ten years, through two major cancer surgeries, and have benefited from her creativity and listening skills. Ani designs each session to fit the client's needs of the moment, to promote physical and emotional health.”

    Lucie, LCSW Psychotherapist

  • “Steel mace flow is so much fun and has complemented my yoga practice immensely, building my strength and body awareness. Ani’s technical knowledge of many modalities has supported me to discover my deep core muscles while also finding softness and ease."

    Rebecca, yoga teacher and dancer

  • “Ani has been my teacher for over ten years, delivering bi-weekly private sessions in my home. She is in a class of her own as a teacher. Ani has a highly educated knowledge of the body from years of study, personal practice, and instruction. She is exceptional in her communication skills and her intuitive gifts—her innate understanding of the mind-body connection.”

Marcella, business leader and social entrepreneur

  • “In Ani’s sessions I am evolving as a yoga teacher and continually challenged as a mover. Ani guides with precise anatomical analysis and with a gentle presence, introducing new concepts and explorations in every class.”

    Jamison, dancer and yoga teacher

My practice integrates the systems of breath-based yoga and functional movement strength-training to create a specialized program aligned with your body, interests, and goals. I offer private and semi-private training in-person and on Zoom. Sessions may include vinyasa yoga, steel mace, kettlebells, high intensity interval training, restorative yoga, and meditation. I train from the inside out, guiding you to enhance your somatic, felt sense of your breathing and movement.

“If you think your body and mind are two, that is wrong. If you think that they are one, that is also wrong. The body and mind are both two and one.”
