About Ani
I have been teaching movement for over twenty years and practicing movement techniques (dance, aerial performance, yoga, kiteboarding, steel mace, and kettlebells) for three decades.
As a dance artist, I performed off-Broadway and in modern dance companies, and showcased my choreography in New York City. In 2005, I received my yoga teacher certification from OM Yoga Center. I taught yoga for fifteen years in studios, gyms, and corporations throughout NYC.
I now work exclusively with private clients, providing individualized movement health coaching. I am a certified Movement Science Practitioner, specializing in movement analysis and retraining to promote health and longevity. I trained in kettlebell technique with Kettlebell Sport World Champion Mike Salemi, whose approach includes expertise in biomechanics and somatic practices. My steel mace training includes completion of the Dutch Flow Academy Mace Masterclass Series. I’m certified in breath-based yoga therapy, postnatal yoga, restorative yoga, and Thai massage. I’ve studied breath meditation for many years.
I work with diverse clients, from professional dancers and yoga teachers, to the elderly and individuals seeking injury prevention or recovery. Whether my client’s goal is high-intensity endurance strength-training or rehab, my focus is on developing stability and awareness. These practices allows us to live in less pain, and respond with embodied strength to physical, mental, and emotional challenges.
